Mangroves are shrubs and small trees that work as a natural defence guard for floods and rising waters. Mangroves have been cut down in large scale, but are now being taken into care again, researched and tested, since man-made climate changes will cause water to rise.

By merging an instrumental study of the force and resilience of the mangroves with a photographic depiction of its majestic shape, Woodland becomes an encounter between scientific research and artistic interpretation.
